In this episode of The Coffee & Convos Podcast, we chat with the founders of You Belong Here, a creative community space in San Diego. Stacy Keck is a professional photographer with over 10 years of experience who wanted a studio space to create freely and also connect with like minds. Nic Roc is the owner of empowering party-wear company, The Roc Shop, who shares her story about how she wanted to create an inclusive community that honors diversity and working collaboratively which ultimately sparked the idea for YBH.

The two joined forces and we got to chat about the process, investment, and challenges of creating a space from the ground up! We talk about the four mission statements of YBH which are space, education, community, and culture. We also discuss how they want this space to serve the purpose of giving people space and creativity to thrive and to also educate those and bring awareness to what’s happening in the community.
