“Despite us freelancers doing what we love and we’re creating things and it’s our passion, at the end of the day, we’re still putting in a lot of time and energy. And it’s still work. And so because it’s our own passion and our own work, we tend to validate that at a lower rate than we should have because we’re so critical but there needs to be more conversations about how we need to empower ourselves to really value our work where it needs to be.”
Kim Nguyen is an incredible artist based in San Diego who specializes in watercolor, calligraphy and creating artwork that speaks to her soul.
